CELESTE GILMAN, DEPUTY DIRECTOR FOR REGINAL TRANSIT COORDINATION OF Celeste GILMAN, submitted a presentation and gave a lecture on Sustainable Transportation and Climate Change at The University of Ankara and in The Faculty of Architecture at METU. Gilman talked about transportation problems and shared her ideas with the students to develop sustainable solutions to urban transportation problems in order to reduce emissions related to the transportation and eliminate the negative effects of transportation on quality of life. She offered her valouble experinces conserning how to achive healthy, reliable and environmentally friendly transportation systems . 22.10.2019

MOBILITY WEEK IN ANKARA After a long period of time , the capital city experienced one of its most "dynamic" days. Ankara celebrated European Mobility Week simultaneously with the world and organized various activities. The European Mobility Week is organized by Ankara Metropolitan Municipality and the Delegation of the European Union to Turkey .With in this scope some streets are closed to the traffic and a great interest has been shown by the citizens. in Car-Free Day and the citizens. Many people prefer riding a bike as much as walking in streets without and some of them had prefered doing exercises. EUROPEAN MOBILITY WEEK HAS STARTED Ankara Metropolitan Municipality has completed the preparations on European Mobility Week which aims to improve the quality of life by promoting clean mobility and sustainable urban transport, held from between 16 – 22 September every year.There will be many activities with the coordination of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality and the Delegation of the European Union of Turkey. The closing event in Ankara will be on 22 September at Anıtpark with the public concert of Haluk Levent. 16.09.2019
