Nihat ALKAŞ

General Manager

He was born in 1960 in Malatya. He graduated from Middle East Technical University, Department of Metallurgical Engineering in 1982. He received his MA from Wayne State University in the USA. During this training, he worked as an Assistant Professor of Materials Science at the university.He started his career as a high engineer at Etibank Antalya Ferrochrome facilities. He worked as a Project Engineer at the General Directorate of Etibank. He also worked as Specialist / Branch Manager / Head of  Department at the Undersecretariat of Treasury and in  Ministry of Economy and Ministry of Industry and Technology. He served as a member of the Audit Committee at Eti Pazarlama ve Dış Ticaret A.Ş. and as an Economic Consultant at the Turkish Embassy in Berlin between 2001-2004.

On 17.06.2019 he was assigned as  the General Directorate of EGO.

Alkaş speaks advanced English and intermediate German. He is married and has two children.
